The other night was the grand opening of the brand new Woodstock Art Gallery. I am so honoured that my painting, Performance Ready, is hanging in a prominent position there in the 53rd Annual Juried Exhibition, Visual Elements. We arrived a little late for the flash mob, but were really pleased to find so many people in attendance that we could barely get in the door! Here’s an article about it: Art gallery draws 1,000 people for grand opening. The show runs through to November 5. Come and see our beautiful new gallery!
Well, for those who’ve been wondering, I didn’t win the science and math-based art competition. Some great images were selected by the jurors though, and you can check them out here.
The opening for our Artists of Oxford membership show Expressions at the Tillsonburg Station Arts Centre is this Friday, 7-9 p.m. It is unlikely to be so crowded as the Woodstock show but the calibre of art will be great so you should come check it out if you can! Here’s another article to give you some info: Oxford’s artists ‘hanging around’. The show runs through to October 8.
